Programs

At Dopoi, students participate in village life and learn first-hand the meaning of sustainable livelihoods and the practice of academic activism in an international context.

Join Prescott College in Maasailand

There are many opportunities for learners and researchers to come to Maasailand and the Dopoi Center as interns and researchers, students in other university classes, and also to Prescott College’s own semester program, “Maasailand Solidarity Studies.”

Our Programs

MERC’s collaborative research benefits scholars, Maasai, wildlife, and requires sharing published findings with the community per the Dopoi Center protocols.

Prescott College and MERC welcome many other university partners to Dopoi, to bring classes and share in the educational opportunities.

In Prescott College’s signature program, you will learn about Maasai culture and current fronts of Indigenous activism in the context of a decades-long relationship between the Maasai community and Prescott College, built on the basis of trust.
