Graduate work at the Dopoi Center offers students a unique opportunity to engage in immersive, community-centered research. In collaboration with Maasai community members and local leaders, graduate students conduct fieldwork that addresses real-world challenges while contributing to sustainable development, cultural preservation, and environmental stewardship. Through interdisciplinary projects and a commitment to decolonizing education, students gain hands-on experience that deepens their understanding of community-driven research and global accountability.

Internships and projects at the Dopoi Center immerse students in impactful, hands-on experiences. Working closely with Maasai community members, students engage in community-designed projects that address local needs, including wildlife conservation, cultural preservation, and sustainable development. These internships foster cross-cultural collaboration and provide valuable field experience, empowering students to learn directly from community experts while contributing meaningfully to local initiatives.
